Yumi & Fumi Challenge #25~PHOTO INSPIRATION!

Happy Sunday everyone!! Hard to believe it's the end of September already...man these months are flying by. I feel like this entire year is speeding by so quickly!! Although it should be cooling down for a lot of us in the U.S., it's still HOT in Texas! I'm hoping a cool front starts moving in soon. I'm so over dealing with the 90s and 100s. FALL is my favorite time of year and I LOVE to layer clothes!

I'm back today to introduce a new challenge on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Blog!! But before we get to that, you may want to read our new challenge guidelines by clicking HERE. Don't forget that we now allow ANY stamped image!!! You HAVE to use a hand-colored image on your project...no "sentiment only" cards allowed. However, if you use a Y&FH image your name will be added a maximum of 1 extra time after the last name in Inlinkz. Remember also....only 1 entry per person.

What's up for grabs? The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Yumi & Fumi Handmade online store and our Top 3 will receive a 10% discount!!

Now on to Challenge #25! The challenge for the next two weeks is this gorgeous PHOTO:

Happy (Belated) Birthday DENICE!!

This is a special post to wish an awesome and wonderful lady a very Happy Birthday!!! Denice is one of the DT Leaders for Yumi and Fumi Handmade. Her birthday was last week, but we are a little late in getting her bday wishes out to her. But as I always say....better late than never, right?!!

Denice and I are on the Yumi and Fumi team together and she not only is an amazing cardmaker, but she's just the nicest woman ever! I'm so thankful to be on this team with her and she's definitely an inspiration to many of us on the team.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENICE!! I hope it was a great one surrounded by those who love you and who spoil you!! I hope you got lots of goodies last week too because you deserve it!!

I used Fumi with Turtle for Denice's card. The dps are from The Paper Stack by Crafts Beautiful that I bought at Michaels. The large pink flower was made using some Marianne Dies. The pink rhinestones and swirls are Recollections. The wide polka dot ribbon is from Walmart.

Have a great weekend and sending you lots of hugs Denice!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~Anything Goes (with a twist of Marker)!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
If you are looking from my TGF post please scroll down or click HERE.

Today starts a new challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog. All are challenges throughout the rest of the year will be ANYTHING GOES! But we are alternating our "optional" TWIST between Markers and Vintage. For the next two weeks our challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES with an "optional" twist of Markers!
Now remember the challenge is "Anything Goes" so we should see a lot of you participating. And if you want to add the optional twist then grab your favorite markers and get to coloring! :)

Today I'm using a new favorite of mine: Kraftin' Kimmie Dance for Joy by Rachelle Anne Miller. I just love the whimsical nature of Rachelle Anne Miller's illustrations and was so excited when she started designing rubber stamps! I've got several from this collection, but this particular image just spoke to me. The past week I was going through a situation and this stamp was just a reminder to be joyful even in those sad or stressful situations. Sometimes it's hard to remember that life is full of many more reasons to dance for joy, instead of sitting around being unhappy!!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E43, E44, E47
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Blue: BG10, BG13, BG15
Shoes: C3, C5
Butterfly: V12, V15, V17, R83, BG10, BG13

I used some dps from Echo Park EVERYDAY ECLECTIC 6x6 paper pad. I used some Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel around the image. The ribbon is from Walmart. The butterflies are a die from Stampin' Up. The crystal rhinestones are from Recollections.

Here's a list of supplies from the 7 Kids Store:
This challenge ends on October 8th so I hope to see you all entering your cards at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!

Have a great rest of the week!
