The Greeting Farm Faith Based Set: BLESSED WORDS!

The Greeting Farm has decided to release Faith Based stamps bi-monthly, and with that they implemented a separate Faith Based Team. Fortunately for me, I was able to be part of this awesome endeavor, and join an amazing group of ladies!! You can see the introductory post HERE.

Today starts the introduction of these fabulous stamps and this new set is called BLESSED WORDS. I decided to make two cards with this set to showcase it's versatility. You can use this set for so many different things other than bible journaling.

For my first card, I just stamped the feathers all over black cardstock and heat embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder. I then did the same for one of the words in the set. It came together pretty easily, but I think it packs a punch in the elegance department. :)

My next card was literally a leap of faith. I knew I wanted to do something a little different and out of my comfort zone. I embossed the feathers in gold on watercolor paper. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks and water to create the beautiful colors inside the feathers. It turned out to be one of my favorite cards!

This set is now available for purchase in the TGF Store. Be sure to check out the TGF Blog to see more creations from my fellow team members!

Rosie

Today, I ventured out of my comfort zone and made a card with a sentiment and no character image. She gave me the idea to use the "you're" and "awesome" from the Concord and 9th Crazy Awesome Stamp Set and recommended teal for the color. I happened to find some coordinating paper. I wasn't so sure about this card, but she kept pushing me to keep going, even when I really wanted to trash it and go find a character stamp, LOL! Then I added the flowers......and fell in LOVE!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today starts a new monthly challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog

The theme is: ANYTHING GOES!!

Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I decided to make a lovey dovey card using this adorable bird from Art Impressions called TWEETHEART SHAKER. It comes with a little shaker thing so the bird's head bobbles/shakes. It's so stinkin' CUTE!

Copics:
E71, E74, E77, E79, R20, R81, YR02, YR18, E42, E44
Scarf: R24, R27, R29,R39

This stamp set has a separate stamp for the bird's head that you stamp and cut out. Then you add the shaker mechanism to the back of the head and position it on top of the full bird you already stamped and colored. Then when you shake the card or flick the head, it shakes! It's so much fun!!

The adorable sentiment is also part of the Tweetheart Shaker stamp set. The bottom border is from Penny Black and called Love Always Border Die. I don't see it in the store at the moment, but 7 Kids has some other amazing dies that could be used. The papers are from a Pink Paisley paper pad a friend mailed to me. The ribbon is from Walmart.

Supplies from 7 Kids College Fund:
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Now head on over to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog to play along with us so you can win a $20 Gift Certificate to the store.

Have a great rest of the week my friends!
