The Greeting Farm Faith Stamps Release: King of Kings and His Love

Today is the Faith Stamps Release at The Greeting Farm! Woohoo! I love making Christian cards with these new Faith sets! The sentiments really speak to me and often times I find myself reflecting on life and my Christian walk as I'm making these cards or stamping in my bible.

The two sets released this month are called His Love and King of Kings.  All the elements and sentiments in both set are beautiful. They can be used for Bible Journaling, Project Life spreads, bookmarks, cards, and journal pages....the possibilities are endless!

King of Kings

His Love

For my card using His Love, I distressed the background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. The colors of these inks are so much brighter than the original distress inks and the coverage is thicker. Next, I splattered water over the top and dabbed with a paper towel. Once it was dry, I stamped the large floral image and then the sentiment.

On my next card, I did some gold heat embossing. I love how the crown of thorns and sentiment stand out against the black background.

Thanks you for stopping by! You can view all the Faith Stamp Sets HERE. Have a great Thursday!

I Am Roses + Conie Fong Molly's Winter Friends

Happy Tuesday everyone! Normally in Texas we have over 100 degree weather in August for several weeks, but this August has had some cooler days. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the cooler weather! I love fall, but I also LOVE white winters. We don't get much of that in Texas (just cold and ice). I grew up in Germany and the winters were so beautiful, especially around Christmas. I long to go back to Europe for the holidays. Hopefully one day that will happen.

Today I'm showcasing the beautiful paper flowers from I Am Roses with Conie Fong's Molly's Winter Friends. I love all of Conie's digital stamps and this one is so adorable, and of course reminds me of Germany. :)

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13

And now for the star of the show....these are the beautiful I Am Roses flowers used on my card:

I used papers from My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 Paper Pad. The sentiment is from MME Winter Wonderland paper pad. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Now, don't forget to come play along with us on the IAR Challenge Blog using flowers from the IAR STORE. You have until SEPTEMBER 8th to link up your project, but remember you must use at least 2 items from I Am Roses. There are 4 prizes to be won so I hope you join us!!

LDRS Creative: Time For A Coffee Break!

Ooooooh, I LOVE coffee! But not the hard, black stuff. I like the frou frou coffee....cappuccinos or lattes or frappes...the stuff with lots of flavored creamer, haha! Now that summer break is over, I definitely need my coffee while trying to adjust to waking up early! This fabulous girl from All Dressed Up called Time For A Coffee Break is definitely my mini-me.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E71, E77, E79
Hat/Shirt: BG72, BG75, BG78

Coat/Shoes: E41, E42, E43, E44
Cup: RV11, RV04, Gold Marker
Dog: E41, E42, E43, E44, C3, Gold Marker

My decorative paper is from TLC Inspired Splendid Azure 6x6 Paper Pad. I used the Fancy Rectangles & Layers Die Set to frame my image, and then added a decorative border on the center panel using the Polkadoodles Scalloped Swag Border Die.

That awesome frame for the sentiment is from the TLC Inspired Splendid Azure-Cut Outs. I love how the products in the store coordinate so you have all the elements you need to put together an elegant card.

The blues and patterns in the Splendid Azure paper pack are gorgeous and perfect for so many different occasions! Be sure to browse the LDRS Creative Store, and grab all of your favorite products!

The Greeting Farm: Plane Amazing + American Heroes= Amelia Earhart!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Last week on the 15th, The Greeting Farm released this fabulous set called Plane Amazing and its coordinating die cuts:

I love how this set can be combined with the various TGF characters to capture pretty much any occasion you want. I decided to pair this set with one of the stamps from the American Heroes Set to make an Amelia Earhart card. The possibilities are endless!

I found one of Amelia Earhart's quotes online, and just retyped it in Microsoft Word. Then I used a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel. The clouds were made with chalk and a cloud border die-cut. I used a die from a C.C. Design's die set to make the grass area. The girl and plane were colored with Copic Makers. I then cut them out and placed them on pop-dots.

I bought this plane a couple of months ago at Walmart. It worked out perfectly as a prop for this card! I love when that happens!! Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store to grab all your favorites!

Sassy Cheryl's Stamps: The Bad, Bad, Witch

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today, I'm sharing a card using this funny digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps called The Bad, Bad Witch. Now, if you happen to be a friend on FB, then you already saw my "Oops" moment! As I was coloring this image, my black Copic marker decided to shoot a huge blob of ink all over the right side of her face. The blob was so big, I had to smear it to the side so it didn't run off the paper onto the table. I was not a happy camper to say the least! But after I posted it, my friends were commenting how her expression totally matched up with the situation. That gave me the giggles because it really does look like she's irritated about that ink on her face, LOL!!

Everyone said I should have kept on coloring her and used her on something with that blob of ink, but I had already thrown her away. Anyways, I re-colored her and this is the final version. :)

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Hair: YG23, G28, Black
Purple: V12, V15, V17, BV08
Green: YG23, YG17, YG67
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Shirt: YG23, YG67, V12, BV08, C3
Gold Sharpie Paint Pen

The sentiment is a free printable I found HERE. I framed it using a MFT Die. The papers and cat are from an older 12x12 Recollections paper pad. The glittered bats are stickers.

Be sure to head over to Sassy Cheryl's Stamps to grab this image for your collection! While you are there, browse around....there are a lot of wonderful stamps in her store!

If you want to stay in the loop on new releases and sales, then come and join us over at Sassy Cheryl's Neighborhood Facebook Group. It's also a great place to share your projects using these fun stamps!

7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store: Vilda Stamps Christmas 2011

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend so far! I wanted to take this time to say 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store is an awesome on-line craft store with an owner who works really hard to bring in a variety of products to fit our crafting needs. I'm so proud to be able to work for a store that is committed to their customers and will work to please us any way she can. If you order from them, you'll be a happy camper! The owner Kelly works so hard to keep her customers happy. Please support the small businesses so they can continue to provide the fabulous crafty products and amazing customer service we all love!!

One of the stamp lines that Kelly carries in the 7 Kids Store is called Vilda Stamps. They have the cutest gnomes and mushroom houses, along with other whimsical characters. My Christmas card today features a gnome and a couple of ornaments from the Vilda Stamp Christmas 2011 Stamp Set. I colored this cutie with Copic Markers. 7 Kids just recently added more Copics to the store!

Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: C3, C5, C7
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39, R59
Green: YG23, YG26, YG17, YG67
Tan: E42, E43, E44

I used some Christmas paper from Echo Park. It's not in the store, but the new Echo Park papers will be arriving soon!

The green ornaments at the top of my card were made using stamps in the Vilda Christmas Stamp Set. I embossed them in gold on some patterned paper, cut them out and added pop-dots behind them.

Don't forget about our current ANYTHING GOES Challenge on the 7 Kids Challenge Blog. Just click on the link on the Challenge Blog (right side bar) to upload your card for a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to the store! Please use products from the 7 Kids Store on your uploaded projects.

The Greeting Farm Special Release: Halloweeen 2017

Happy Sunday everyone! Today we have a special release for you from The Greeting Farm. I had a lot of FUN with this awesome Halloween set!! It has 6 characters and 2 sentiments. I was only going to color 1 or 2 of the characters, but once I got started I had to color them all!! And then I knew once they were colored that I needed to make a Popup Box Card to showcase them all. :)

Check them all out!!

The various sentiments and papers came from an older 12x12 Halloween paper pad. I created the purple cloud background behind the vampire with Distress Inks and a cloud border die-cut.....it's so easy to create different colored sky backgrounds for your cards.

The headstone borders were made using a Martha Stewart border die. I raised the vampire and sentiments on pop-dots.

This Halloween set definitely needs to be part of your TGF collection! It's so much FUN!! Grab your set in the store HERE!

Rosie

Sassy Cheryl's Stamps: Whoopsie Daisy

Sassy Cheryl's
Happy Saturday everyone! It's been a busy week, and school starts bright and early Monday morning for my little guy....I'm so not ready!! He starts Junior High. I can't even believe it!! I'm in a little bit of shock that his elementary days are over. :(
Later in the week, I'll be showcasing an awesome back-to-school image called Pay Attention Class, but today I'm showing off this adorable image from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps called Whoopsie Daisy. I printed my image on Copic paper and colored her with Copic Markers.
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Hair: E71, E77, E79
Yellow: Y04, Y21, YR23
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Wings: Y32, N0, N2
Sky: Blue Chalk
Brown: E35, E37, E59
I just love this image paired with the Winnie the Pooh sentiment that I got for free from Tatertots & Jello. The decorative paper is from a digital file I bought on Etsy called Bumble Bee. Aren't those bee papers awesome?!

The scalloped frame was cut out using a My Favorite Things die. The ribbon and enamel dots are from my stash. I raised the sentiment and the little girl on pop-dots for added dimension.

Be sure to head over to Sassy Cheryl's Store to grab this image for your collection! While you are there, browse around....there are a lot of wonderful stamps in her store!

The Greeting Farm: Beepin' Awesome!

Happy Friday everyone! Today, I'm showcasing another fantastic set from The Greeting Farm called Beepin' Awesome! I not only love the stamps this month, but the names of the sets are cracking me up, LOL! This one also has a coordinating die set!

This set would make adorable birthday invitations, newborn baby boy announcements, 'we're moving' postcards, and amazing Christmas cards....the possibilities are endless! When I saw this set I knew I had to recreate our scenic drive through Europe, so I decided to watercolor a background.

I raised the scenic panel on pop-dots along with the main cloud with the sentiment for added dimension.

Don't forget you still have until NOON today (CST) to participate in the TGF BLOG HOP for a chance at winning the entire August Release!! Head over to the blog HERE.

The Greeting Farm: HEY CUTIE!

Oh my goodness, I sooooooo LOVE this stamp called Hey Cutie from The Greeting Farm. She's rocking some awesome hair and boots (I'm thinking cowgirl boots)!! Hey Cutie, and her coordinating die cut definitely need to be part of your TGF Collection!

Since I live in Texas and now own several cowgirl boots, I had to give her some too! Isn't she adorable?!

The Greeting Farm: Plane Amazing

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm showcasing this awesome, newly-released set from The Greeting Farm called Plane Amazing and its coordinating die cuts:

The possibilities are sky high with this set, and the die-cuts make creating cards super easy and fun! I just stamped one of the planes several times on my card to make my own designer paper. I then colored each plane with one primary color (Blue: BG53, Yellow: Y15, Orange: YR07), and the background with N4. Since the sentiments are clear, I was able to ink up certain parts of the sentiment at a time to make one long sentiment.

I raised the sentiment on pop-dots and also the panel with the planes for added dimension. To finish it off, I added enamel dots to the corners.

I hope you have a fabulous Wednesday! Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store to snag all your favorites!

C.C. Designs: Swiss Pixie Oct 31 Nora

Happy Monday everyone! Hard to believe the weekend is already over...man that was fast! One more week of summer vacation left and then school starts for my little guy. I'm sad to see summer break is almost over. It's kind of bittersweet. My little guy is also starting Junior High....oh man, how did that happen?!!

If you've been following me for a little bit, then you have probably noticed I've been experimenting with some new techniques lately. I've tried my hand at watercoloring under-the-sea backgrounds, constructing popup box cards, creating a mirror image using the Mirror Block Stamp, and making a red cloud sky using Distress Inks.

I have to admit that I've been so busy "working", I wasn't actually trying new things, which to me is the FUN part of crafting. So I promised myself that I was going to try new things this year....even if they scare me! My friend Jessie has been challenging me for almost the entire year to try the no-lines coloring technique. Oh man, I've been scared of that one forever!

What is the "No-Lines Coloring Technque"? You basically stamp the image in a very light ink color and add your shading and coloring to create depth. When you are finished, the light ink color basically disappears and there is no black outline of your stamped image.

So if you are me, what do you do? You decide at the last minute before you have a card due the very next day to give a new technique a try!! Why? Because no guts....no glory, LOL!! So here is Swiss Pixie Oct 31 Nora....with No-Lines!

Stamp image onto paper with Desert Sand Memento Ink. I used Bristol Smooth paper this time because it allows for more layers when blending and doesn't get sticky. However, you do have to be careful because this paper will bleed if you add a lot of layers. For my first try at the no-lines technique I was okay with that. You will also need a Copic Multiliner (0.3) to add your eyes and other black details because it does not smear when adding Copic Markers. Just make sure it's completely dry before coloring.

 Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Green: YG23, YG17, YG67
Yellow: Y02, Y32, YR23
Spider: C3, C5, C7, C9
Spider legs & Bats: Copic Multiliner (0.3)

Orange: YR04, YR07, YR09
Purple: V12, V15, V17, BV08
Hair: Black, C7, BV08, V15, V12

 Black Shoes: C3, C5, C7, C9
Pumpkin Stem: E43, E44, E47

Ground: C5, BG93
Sky: B29, B99, Black
Moon: yellow and gray chalk (hard to see in pic)

I kept my card pretty simple so the image would stand out. The "hey Pumpkin!" is from C.C. Designs Happy 31st Sentiment Set. I added glittered bat stickers because I just love sparkly stuff, haha!. The pumpkins were cut out from 12x12 paper and I added googly eyes to them for fun. The purple spider web paper was in my stash.

I raised most of the elements on pop-dots for added dimension.

I hope you get a chance to try out this awesome technique! It is not as scary as I thought it would be. One piece of advice is to stamp the image out in black so you have the image to refer to as you are coloring. You can find awesome no-line coloring examples and youtube videos on my friend Jessie's Blog HERE. Now be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Store to snatch up all of these awesome goodies!

Hugs,
Rosie
